Bragging Rights

Just had to brag a little bit about my bit of hunka hunka burnin love!

Yesterday was our 7 Year anniversary and my sweet hubster Alex surprised me with these at work:

Sorry for the poor quality of the pic but it was with my camera phone. I know, I'm a blogger and I don't have my camera on me at all times?

GASP!

And please pay no attention to my messy desk and the fact that I haven't changed my calendar. It's year end you know, us accountants are still working on year 2008 so I deserve a break!

You Will Salivate

Happy New Year to one and all, I hope it met you with a smile on your face or a kiss on your lips!

And I'd like to wish good luck to all foolishly ambitious hopefuls out there in this overly demanding world who have made far too many resolutions that are beyond their ability to meet, unless you're Martha Stewart, I hope you accomplish your goals.

What? I really do.

The new year did meet me with a kiss by this bit of hunka hunka burnin love:

Our night started with a little crawfish experiment at my in-law's home. Our Aunt Jill & cousins Erin, & Collin came to visit from Colorado so we were very excited to go see them. They are the cutest people in the world & we always have fun with them.

My mom-in-law, being the adventurous woman she is, cooked, or is it boiled? us some baby lobsters. She was all gung ho about eating these things until she saw what they looked like and realized what it took to get the tiniest piece of meat out of those red-shelled insect looking creatures!

I too got a little squeamish seeing the men tear these things apart, I made the hubster do the work while I looked the other way so I could try one. Not bad, but I just couldn't do it again. So the girls all ate spaghetti while the men stayed in the kitchen dissecting their meal.

***Shiver***

After we finished eating, I was peacefully sitting in the kitchen enjoying every one's company when something crawled up my back and into my hair with it's antenna's poking at my neck! I jumped and screamed and ran while little Jaxon chased me around with that scary lookin creepy craw thingy!

***DOUBLE SHIVER!***

Luckily Cris rescued me and made him throw it in the trash! I forgave little Jaxon because I deserve any punishment after smashing his cute baby sister for heaven's sake!

But I couldn't risk another attack so we then left to start another adventure at our friends Brandon & Talicia's house.

This is the cleanest most organized home you will ever see. I don't know how she does it, there is no mail on the counter, no purse hanging on a chair, no keys on the microwave, not even her husband's coat hanging on the railing. Nothing!

We had a great sober evening playing games and drinking Sparkling Apple Cider.

The pic below is my favorite picture of the night! This is the host Talicia modeling her beautiful sweaty armpits. She is seriously so effin funny! I love this picture because she totally does look like a model, she's gorgeous but taken guys!

And this here is my ex-hairdresser. I say ex because she will probably kill me for posting this picture!

Here, Annie, is a goodie with you & your hubby! Please keep doing my hair!

See, Annie Banannie is so friggin cute! I'm jealous of her hair, and her camera! Please don't kill me!

We really did have so much fun at this party & we met a lot of cool people. And contrary to what these pictures depict, NOBODY had anything to drink!

And last but not least are the cutest shoes of the night. Brought to you by Talicia and modeled here by Dellany:

Now your drooling aren't you?

The Baby Smasher

Christmas Part II: Christmas Day with the Silkmans

I'm not a baby hater.

Really I'm not!

Then why do I smash them? Well, it all started Christmas Day at the Silkman's.

The day started out great! We arrived and witnessed the ultimate destruction caused when innocent little children are placed in front of a tree like this:

With mountains of presents like this:

Kids make Christmas so much fun! Don't you love the look on their faces?

On the Silkman side of the family I have two nephews, Colin & Jaxon, and one niece, Ava. All of which are Rae & Clay's kids.

These kids are the most well behaved kids you will ever meet. They are so friggin funny too. Alex and I love them so much! Ava is now talking and she's got the cutest personality. Any girl that keeps her hand down her pants is okay in my book!

And any chick that takes opening presents this serious, is my best friend!

The kids weren't the only ones who got presents! My sister-in-laws and I received these diamond stud earrings from our mom-in-law! Did I say Ava was my best friend? Sorry, I was mistaken.

Diamonds are my best friend!

But Ava is a close second!

So you can see the evening was going great! After the presents were unwrapped, the table was set:

The peacock was praying he wasn't on the menu:

The lobsters were boiled:

The boys were anticipating:

Ava was snitching:

And the dessert was waiting:

It all went so well until after dinner. Which is where the baby smashing came in.

I decided to go downstairs to take some pictures of the boys playing pool.

I walked down the first flight of stairs and turned the corner to finish the second. My cute sister-in-laws & the kids were sitting at the bottom of the stairs watching the boys play.

As I walked down the remaining stairs, my foot just flew out from underneath me and before I knew what was happening, I was falling. I frantically tried to stop myself but I failed.

And I landed.

On my back.

On the baby.

Look at the disappointment & disgust in those eyes! He had no idea he was married to a baby smasher, oh the pain! You think you know someone...then they start smashing babies!

Little baby Ava was fine, it mostly just scared the ba-jeebus out of her and after I apologized and promised it would never happen again, she still wouldn't look at me.

I don't blame her. After all I put her in second place after diamonds, what kind of aunt does that?

But then again, what kind of aunt smashes her little baby niece into the ground?
