You Will Salivate

Happy New Year to one and all, I hope it met you with a smile on your face or a kiss on your lips!

And I'd like to wish good luck to all foolishly ambitious hopefuls out there in this overly demanding world who have made far too many resolutions that are beyond their ability to meet, unless you're Martha Stewart, I hope you accomplish your goals.

What? I really do.

The new year did meet me with a kiss by this bit of hunka hunka burnin love:

Our night started with a little crawfish experiment at my in-law's home. Our Aunt Jill & cousins Erin, & Collin came to visit from Colorado so we were very excited to go see them. They are the cutest people in the world & we always have fun with them.

My mom-in-law, being the adventurous woman she is, cooked, or is it boiled? us some baby lobsters. She was all gung ho about eating these things until she saw what they looked like and realized what it took to get the tiniest piece of meat out of those red-shelled insect looking creatures!

I too got a little squeamish seeing the men tear these things apart, I made the hubster do the work while I looked the other way so I could try one. Not bad, but I just couldn't do it again. So the girls all ate spaghetti while the men stayed in the kitchen dissecting their meal.

***Shiver***

After we finished eating, I was peacefully sitting in the kitchen enjoying every one's company when something crawled up my back and into my hair with it's antenna's poking at my neck! I jumped and screamed and ran while little Jaxon chased me around with that scary lookin creepy craw thingy!

***DOUBLE SHIVER!***

Luckily Cris rescued me and made him throw it in the trash! I forgave little Jaxon because I deserve any punishment after smashing his cute baby sister for heaven's sake!

But I couldn't risk another attack so we then left to start another adventure at our friends Brandon & Talicia's house.

This is the cleanest most organized home you will ever see. I don't know how she does it, there is no mail on the counter, no purse hanging on a chair, no keys on the microwave, not even her husband's coat hanging on the railing. Nothing!

We had a great sober evening playing games and drinking Sparkling Apple Cider.

The pic below is my favorite picture of the night! This is the host Talicia modeling her beautiful sweaty armpits. She is seriously so effin funny! I love this picture because she totally does look like a model, she's gorgeous but taken guys!

And this here is my ex-hairdresser. I say ex because she will probably kill me for posting this picture!

Here, Annie, is a goodie with you & your hubby! Please keep doing my hair!

See, Annie Banannie is so friggin cute! I'm jealous of her hair, and her camera! Please don't kill me!

We really did have so much fun at this party & we met a lot of cool people. And contrary to what these pictures depict, NOBODY had anything to drink!

And last but not least are the cutest shoes of the night. Brought to you by Talicia and modeled here by Dellany:

Now your drooling aren't you?

Wow - looks like a GREAT party!
YAY for 2009!!!

No resolutions for me this year! I figure I will just take the new year as it comes - good and bad, accomplishments or no accomplishments.

The KISS... darn, I knew we were forgetting something! Not to say I didn't one or two at some point during th eevening, but we completely forgot to "ring in the new year" with "The KISS"! Oh well, I guess we will need extra now to make up for the loss. ;)

I'm still shivering from the thoughts of crawfish crawling up your back. Ewwwww. I had to open up a crab once and it was wayyyy too much work for me.

Looks like you had fun at the sober New Year's party. I LOVE the shoes at the end of the post.

Looks like you guys had a fun new years... minus the creepy little fishies! I don't think I would have dared even taste one! You and your hubby are always so cute together!

Leave it to kids to do the payback. Sounds like you had a nice New Year's Eve.

Great pics! Looks like you had tons of fun. I wish I could say that I brought in the New Year with a kiss but me and Hubby went to bed early. We are so old....ugh.

*shudder* I totally hear ya on the crawfish! Tranquility, up above, she's my cousin. When we were at her house this past summer, we had crawfish along with lots of other seafood. I had one. That was enough for me! *shiver*

You and your hubs are too cute! Looks like you had a blast with your friends and family!! =)

I've never been a fan of crawfish. They really creep me out.
It's like you're eating a bug. That's pretty much what it looks like.

And I would probably freak out if one was crawling on me, too.
But you're still a baby smasher.

To be in my 20's again...sigh. Now it's struggling to stay up to 10. At midnight my coach drops me off at the potty to help a kid pee, well not always. Apparently, one our neighbors kids set off fireworks at midnight, but me with my earplugs was thankfully oblivious. It is good you "young" folk are still parting like rock stars (minus the booze).

And I think I would have had nightmares about the lobsters.

I LIVE for crawfish. I had it flown in from Louisiana when I was pregnant with the twins. WEEKLY. Yep, the fed ex cost more than the crawfish but Big Daddy loves me so!

Yes. Consider yourself killed...and fired. And then killed again.

But the sweaty pit picture ALMOST makes up for it. I said almost.

Dangit!! Tara I was gonna be a creeper and stalk her first, thanks a whole lot.
How cool must you feel right now, hehe. Ok, eating small lobsters is like boiling up spiders for din din. Nasty lil buggers.
HAHA lovin' the pics you took of our lil new years basher. And speak for yourself, I was carrying a mug of Grey goose around the whole night. I joke, I joke. Totally sober, besides my husband deciding to slam a cup of coffee and then two rockstars... There has to be a point at which rockstars start to imitate crack cocaine because holy cow! Well anyway after that lovely little blurb, lets tell the men to play some Gaylo, so we can all hang out and do something fantastic!

The pic of the shoes makes up for the pic of the crawfish!

Looks like such a fun party! I want a do-over!

You know, when something works that hard to protect itself from intruders by enclosing itself within a form fitting rock hard outer shell, I feel like we should just let it be. Just let it be.
