Two Halves Do Not Make A Whole

I was able to leave work yesterday for just a little bit to go see De at the hospital. When I got there JayDee was already in surgery to remove his appendix.

The doctors said that his appendix was in two pieces!

For those of you who are not familiar with the appendix, it is supposed to be in one piece, not two.

And for those of you who have trouble with fractions (which statistically is 5/4ths of the population) that means that his appendix split in half!

That's bad.

Really bad.

They estimated that it had probably ruptured 2-3 weeks ago! Can you believe that?

Crazy.

He is doing okay now after surgery, unfortunately they have to postpone his brain surgery yet again. The poor guy was so exhausted he fell asleep while playing with his Lego's:

Thank you to everyone who went to give some bloggy love to her and her family! To send more love or for more details on how he's doin, you can go here.

Poor little angel!!! He's had a rough go, hasnt he? :(

Fun Fact: My appendix ruptured & no one KNEW!!!!! When I had my gallbladder taken out, they had found out my appendix had already ruptured YEARS ago!!! The doc asked my mom if I ever was really sick & mom said he felt horrible because I probably complained but she told me to suck it up! WOW!! ... its true....
