"I Love Goooold!"

As most of you know, I work for a gold mining company.

1. No, I don't receive gold as my yearly bonus.
2. No, I can't get you a discount on gold jewelry.
3. No, our office is not made out of gold.
4. And yes, "silver" is the equivalent of a curse word in our office.

Okay, now that we have that out of the way....

I'd like to share with you our Christmas tree this year. My Christmas tree at home is pretty pathetic and not worth posting on the blogosphere so I'm going to show off the tree from my office!

Isn't it spectacular!!!

All these trucks and tractors will be donated to the Toys for Tots Foundation.

This is my favorite part! I know we're not coal miners, but the coal goes along with the whole "Coal in your stocking" Christmas theme.

Pam must have been extra nice this year. That or she did Santa a naughty personal favor, one of the two!

I love this miner's hat on top of the tree!

And the oil lamp.

It sits in the main lobby.

The theme of the tree is

"What's Yours is Mined."

I bet you think I was the genius who came up with that one don't you? I don't blame you, I am very clever like that, but no, we purchased the tree from the Festival of Trees and it was donated by the U of U Mining Engineers.

Who knew engineers had it in them?

Our Christmas party is tonight at the Grand America Hotel and I plan to take LOTS of incriminating pictures. Especially at the end of the night after everyone has had a little too much to drink, it is an open bar you know!

That way I have evidence to blackmail my bosses if I ever screw anything up at work! Which of course NEVER happens, but just in case I'm framed

er somethin.

If my son and his cousins saw that tree they would be so excited they could birth a litter of kittens... So many trucks and tractors and so little time.

What a great company you work for. I just found out that our store is having a potluck. They will be providing the 'meat' but they're asking everyone to bring everything else - utensils, plates, sides. Seriously, they can't buy us a whole dinner?!

I wanna work where YOU work. No fair. And yes, I think we SHOULD have done your hair like that for the party. I hear they think you are too conservative and sorta frumpy over there....

I wish my store would get a tree like that one. I work for Scrooge, actually, Ms. Scrooge.
