No Longer A Slacker Sister...

Fine Lindee, just because you're the spoiled child!

A few weekends ago my cute Dad took his girls, me & my sisters, to spend a night at the Homestead Resort just for a little getaway and quality time. Of course Lin brought her sweet lil Logan with her so we knew it was going to be quite a party!

And yes, Logan yet again has no pants. I think his dear mom here is just getting him prepared for his future career of sumo wrestling.

I don't know how this happens but when you get me and my sisters together, for some reason we resort back to being 12 year old girls. Here we are in all our maturity:

From left to right we have the lil sis Lindee, the big sis me, and the baby sis Alyse.

The evening proceeded in three stages.

Stage 1
Stuffing our faces with the assortment of treats that Dad always provides. We have no shame and things get really messy when we all get together. We played Apples to Apples with a make shift barrier to keep the pantless baby from ripping the cards to shreds and throwing them into the fireplace. We also turned on The Bee Movie to help distract the baby but unfortunately it distracted Lindee too, the queen of ADHD.

Stage 2
Splashing in the tub with Logan. We are not hard to entertain, this two year old is always the life of the party! And at this stage is where Dad slowly starts to wear down, I have no idea why that happened.

See? Who isn't entertained by this? You can rent him for your next big party as long as you pay me in advance and feed the little guy or at least let him drink out of the toilet. Oh, and you can't tell his mom.

Leave me a comment if you're interested.

Stage 3
Dad passes out from pure exhaustion as we continue to get more hyper by the second. Dad should know better than to fall asleep with us around, what did he expect would happen?

While we were torturing Dad in his sleep, little did we know that Logan went and peed in the corner of the bathroom. Way to go Lin! This potty training thing must be working!

Lindee is a woman of many talents and is determined to teach her son the most important skills in life.

This is when I begin to realize that Logan probably spiked our diet coke because I can't explain why or what is going on here.

Yeah we don't remember much after that, I think we all passed out at that point. But surprisingly we all servived the night so in the morning we were able to go check out the ducks that stick around in the middle of winter and the huge crater that Homestead is known for.

This is inside the crater, it was very cool! The water is 96 degrees so people are swimming and scuba diving even during the winter. It's 60 feet wide and 65 feet deep.

It was so foggy since it was winter but this is what it looks like in the summer:

So there's our crazy weekend with Dad.

Lindee, you may no longer call me a slacker sister!

That is HILARIOUS! Your family always looks like the most fun! And your poor dad... sleeping... you're right - he had to expect that!

How cute is Logan! I'd totally rent him out for entertainment!

You girls look like you had a fantastic time together! How cool do have a time like that!

BTW - I'd be involved in the Bee Movie too... it was a good one!

Gosh to have awesome fun sisters must be....awesome and fun! I'm sister-less so I had a lot of fun living vicariously through this post. Your dad does not look old enough to have grown girls.

That little guy, how adorable! Is he available to work my birthday party in March? ;o)

Oooh, how fun! I wish I had that sort of relationship with my sister.

By the way, I'm interested in renting Logan. See, I want to go to Chuck E Cheese for the pizza but without a kid, I think they'll look at me funny. I can totally have him back before bedtime.

That line about reverting back to your 12 year old selves when sisters are together-- SO TRUE!

I love sisters. Love them.

Looks like a really fun time was had by all. It's great that you all get along so well. Your dad must be very tolerant of your antics when you're together, to be able to sleep through all that, lol.

Logan and baby chicklet could get together and put on a two person pantless show. They'd be all the rage!

My sisters & I (3 of us also) act like loons too. However, usually there's some adult beverages involved!

It looks like you guys had so much fun. Speaking of your dad being exhausted, I bet your nephew didn't have trouble going to sleep either!

My nephews are entertainment when the family gets together too. In fact, it's a little bit dull if they're not there!

THAT was a great photo essay! I love the part with poor dad's sleep pictures. I had to stifle my laughter so I did not arise Mike's suspicions that I was on the internet... He says that I am addicted. MOI? I think it is totally under control. Only a 43% on that are you addicted quiz.

Also I would only do an exchange instead of rental except it has to be my 2 for your 1.

What a great trip!!

My sister and I revert back to adolesence too. We say things like:

"I know you are, but what am I!"

Then we wrestle on the floor and that usually turns into a slap fight. Good time...Good times!

Pooba, oh how I love you so...can I count the ways?

1) You entered the Where's Wenda? Contest a record number of times. If you don't win, I may very well run out and buy you a Clarisonic just so I can guarantee you will look good when we hang out in hell together.
2) Your relationship with your sisters rocks. It looks very much like the bond I share with my sister.
3) You are an accountant. I had to take accounting classes over the last few years and honestly still don't know how you people get your numbers to work in magical ways.

It looks like I have some reading to catch up on here.

TTFN!
