Told Ya There Was More Where That Came From

So Mike is basically the king of magic tricks. He works with preschool kids who know him as "Big Mike". He is amazing with little kids, they all love him and ask for him by name. He has tons of tricks up his sleeves to impress the little ones and as you know, plenty of practical jokes to piss off the big ones.

And by big ones I mean me.

You've already seen a couple of his practical jokes of which he loves to capture on video. This lovely trick of his was actually on Christmas Eve before we went to my Dad's house for our Christmas party.

Mike had been waiting for me to get ready which apparently gave him some time to think up this lovely joke and of course set up a hidden camera. So anyway, here's yet another Pooba embarrassing moment:

If you couldn't tell, that was a bowl of water that I dropped all over me and the floor.

And of course Mike had to clean it up.

How Long Can You Last?

POOBA VS BULL

Okay so I didn't stay on that long but I'm pretty sure it was longer than Lindee's last intelligent thought.

Lindee vs Bull

Sip On This!

So a while back I posted 4 facts about things I have learned from the past, of which included:

1. When you're at dinner with Mike, always check your straw before taking a drink!

Many of you were thinking, what the hell is she talking about? Well, this is what the hell I was talking about:

The ketchup wasn't half as bad as when I got a straw full of salt in my milk!!! I spit it out all over my pancakes, luckily I was done eating and luckily Mike didn't have his flip video cam on hand!

Yeah.

And there's more where that came from, You remember the little Maze joke don't you?

Yeah.

Oh, and to make matters worse, my dad has decided to get in on the action. We go to lunch almost every Friday and a few weeks ago we were at Faustina's where I was telling him all about Mike's straw jokes. He was pretty impressed.

As he should be.

During lunch I got up to go to the bathroom and before I left I said to my dad: "Leave my straw alone!"

Somehow in the time it took me to come back from the bathroom I had totally forgotten what I had said to him just a few minutes earlier. And of course, like an idiot, I grab my straw to take a sip of my drink.

Yeah, he had spread honey all over my straw. The straw that I knew he was going to do something to just a few minutes earlier. The straw that I grabbed anyway without thinking.

I don't know what my dad thought was funnier, me with sticky hands and face or the fact that the honey was so obviously gobbed on the straw that he thought I would notice it for sure.

Come on dad, you know me better than that.

Now, how to get these practical jokers back???

I Want To Have SYTYCD's Babies

I'm in love with this dance. It's my favorite so far from this season's So You Think You Can Dance.

This is Kathryn McCormick & Legacy Perez dancing to "2 Steps Away" by Patti LaBelle. Choreographed by Stacey Tookey, it's about a girl who is struggling with fear.

Watch it, you'll fall in love too.

Seriously makes me cry. I miss dancing so much. I love when he jumps and wraps himself around her waste (about 1.06 seconds in).

That dance reminds me of Kayla and Kupono's Addiction dance choreographed by Mia Michaels last season, which in itself was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!

Didn't see that one? Why the hell not?

Enjoy.

Brilliant.

I'm going to hump So You Think You Can Dance one day.

Let's Chick Chat!

Yay! It's Chick Chat time again with the 3 Baby Chicks!

This weeks episode is all about sisters! Which I happen to know alot about, especially about how to be the best damn sister in the world. Because I am the best damn sister in the world. Don't let Lin or Lyse tell you otherwise.

WARNING: Unbeknownst to me, there is a bit of profanity via sign language in this vlog so you may want to close your eyes about 1:26 minutes in. Oh, and I had to record this right after I went to my high school reunion, so please excuse my outfit.

So here for your viewing pleasure are me and my two younger sisters:

So everyone go over to Lin's blog and let her know how lucky she is to have me as an older sister.

NOW!

And then go check out the other sisters participating in this weeks Chick Chat:

Better in Bulk &
The Hatchers and their Hatchling

The Arthur Clan &
Happy Chaos

Joan of All Trades &
My Life...A Work In Progress

(I've fooled you all, I'm actually on vacation right now in Lake Powell! WOOT! I am pretty smart and was able to set an auto post for today, so there! I'll be gone until July 31st so don't worry if you don't hear from me until then. And try not to get too jealous.)

Chick Chat

What is it that girls talk about? The answer may very well be absolutely everything. Topics frequently range from husbands, to kids, to friends, to family, to politics, to fashion, to celebrities. Nothing is sacred.

This same “anything goes” approach also seems to apply to the blog world. Blogging is a means that allows women to declare to the world what they are going through and to find others in a similar situation.

However, what if we could take the connections that we have formed with one another as bloggers one step farther? What if we could finally see and hear the people behind the posts that we read?

That’s where Chick Chat comes in. Chick Chat is a semimonthly post where the ladies from the Three Bay B Chicks and Hot Chocolate Caramel Mocha will film themselves chatting on a particular topic. To make things more interesting, we will be linking to three different blogs who have also filmed their own video segment in response to our conversation.

We kick-off our video series today with a discussion on the blog world. The Three Bay B Chicks, Hot Chocolate Caramel Mocha, Pooba, Optimistic Cynicism, and The World According to Me will be sharing everything on their mind about the blogosphere.

So have some fun and get clicking. Each site has a unique video, so you will have to visit all five blogs to hear and see what these ladies have to say.

(I'm on the right and Lin is on the left)

Now it’s your turn. Want to turn the camera on yourself and participate in an upcoming Chick Chat? Let them know by sending an e-mail to contactchickchat@gmail.com. They are looking for both participants and topic suggestions. Their plan is to rotate the participation not only among themselves, but also among all our friends in the blogosphere. They want to hear what everyone has to say.

They’d also like to thank the wonderful sites that linked to us today as part of the Chick Chat kick-off and encourage you to take a moment to visit these bloggers. Their tales, tips, humor, and support are something we should all aspire to…
