All Rainbows, Bubblegum and Perfectness

First off, to see the winners of the Chick Chat contest go here. If your name isn't Yaya, Tonya, or Donnetta, you didn't win.

Sorry.

And thanks to everyone who participated in the Chick Chat kick off, the Three Bay B Chicks & Hot Chocolate Carmel Mocha are my idols (Not my American Idols, that's totally something different I haven't heard them sing, I'm just talking about my life idols, ya know, the type of people you want to grow up and be like? That kind of idol, and not in a weird worshipping kind of way because I believe in the ten commandments, well all except for that one about not stealing, I could take or leave that one. Mostly take. From Andrea's house. When she's not looking.)

And of course I send my love to Kathy B and Ryan Ashley Scott, much respect for these two girls that do NOT sound like men on video!

Now it's time for Easter pics. We went to Al's parents yesterday for Easter Sunday and yes, we all got Easter baskets! Check out my basket:

And look what I found hiding from me:

Twilight! Yay, I finally have my own Twilight DVD for me to watch over and over again. I plan on tying the hubster to a chair, taping his eyes open, and forcing him to partake of all the Vampire goodness.

So besides getting spoiled to death by my mom and dad-in-law, I got to spend some time with these cuties!

I love these kids so much, they are so fun and have such cute personalities. Check out this cute face!

She loved these bunnies, she'd hug and kiss them and then knock them down and laugh.

She had to have this one sitting next to her at dinner so she could feed it. Of course. Bunnies have to eat to ya know.

Mom and daughter:

My cute sister-in-laws chattin away. I really lucked out in the sister-in-law department!

Well really I lucked out in the total in-law package. This woman is hilarious, she gets laughing so hard she starts wheezing! And she always goes all out for our family dinners, everything is always perfect.

For example, perfect Salad.

So thanks Cris and Terry for such a good Easter day!

Yes, I am aware that this post was all rainbows and bubblegum happiness which goes against my own bloggy advice in the Chick Chat video, but....yesterday really was bubblegum and rainbows. Well, except for the time when my dad-in-law locked me in the cold cement cellar with the lights out. Not sure what I did to deserve that but it must have been bad!

Ok, so he didn't really lock me in the cellar. He just turned the lights off and shut the door while I was in there admiring Mama Silkman's wine collection, but still, I had to stumble my way around to get out of there!

Don't worry, I'll probably do something stupid tonight to blog about tomorrow.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE That pic of the little princess against the wall! TOOOOO CUTE!

it's okay to have bubblegum rainbows once in a while. But always is vomit-worthy. This blog doesn't make me want to vomit, so no worries.

:)
Hoppy Easter.

NICE PICS! Now you were asking about my camera a while back weren't you? I can only say it is AWESOME. Now just read through the instruction manual for finer tuning in your spare time...ha ha. Auto mode works so good you almost never need to change the settings.

Oh, I forgot. I love the new camera. Did you use it on Easter? Those pics are pretty good, I can tell. (I think, now I will feel pretty stupid if you say you didn't use it).

Althought I didn't love the Twilight movie as much as the book, I was surprised I didn't have to glue my hubby to the chair to watch it! haha Good luck getting your hubby to watch it with you!

Great pic Kel. You rock at picture taking. Guess I am to much of the rainbow ans lollypop. That is why I love you blogs. What can I say......

I'm assuming since the lights were out, and no one could see you, that you snagged a couple bottles of wine for us?

What a great Easter Sunday you had! Your Easter basket was better than mine, all I got was Gobstoppers, a couple PB eggs, some jelly beans, and a couple Mounds eggs.

I'm really thinking you lucked out WAY TOO MUCH. You have a GREAT family AND GREAT in-laws? I'm 0 for 2 in that department.

There is a couple in the neighborhood that are AMAZING. They have like 42 grandchildren (seriously) and their entire family was here. My hubby and I told one of the sons we wanted to be adopted into the family. He laughed. We were serious. Then that night I had a dreamed that I ended up marrying the one single guy in the family----poor hubby. I think he died for that to happen.

Oh well. I guess we can try to find another way into that family. There are so many kids----surely one or two would want to marry some of my kids?

No fair! I didn't get an easter basket. Pshaw. Whatev!

Looks like you had a great day with AWESOME weather! It poured down rain all day here.

And those little kidlets are just the cutest!

Everytime I see your family together, I get so jealous.
You guys look like so much fun.
Can you adopt me?
Just for the holidays.
And my birthday.

I am SO JEALOUS of those easter baskets.
I just get cheap candy.
But at least my mom tries.

Oh, good - looking forward to stupid Pooba tricks tomorrow. I was starting to get nervous with all the pleasantness.

Who sounded like a man? Am I missing something? Either way, thanks for the shout-out and back at ya, sister!

As far as in-laws go... you suck rat tails. I'm jealous. My husband gets embarassed when I even mention his family - how bad is that? HE gets embarassed!

Glad you had such a happy Easter - and good luck with the tape and chair and Twilight and all that.

I love all the cute little Easter dresses out there, she's adorable!

I didn't do a single thing for Easter, I didn't even consider Easter baskets for myself and my boyfriend. Next year!

What cute pictures. The kids are dolls. I am glad you had a great Easter so did we.

About the cellar. I am surprised you didn't sit down and drink a couple of bottles.

Looks like such a fun Easter! And you totally made out like a fat rat with that Easter basket. I must have been bad, the Easter bunny didn't visit me in Germany :(

Your pics are beautiful! and the little one is precious with her bunny ears on.

(P.S. I LOVE Bottle Shock!)

You wouldn't have been stumbling around because you sat for a few and sampled any of the wine, eh? :) Sounds like a GREAT Easter ... even if you swear the stumbling was just due to the lack of light.

BloggessJ said...

My easter lacked any Edward Cullen at all. I'm jealous! That and I had to work...that sucked.

Your new camera friggin rocks. All those pics are so pretty! I had a blast last night you better post all the pictures on here! Well only the ones where I look good.

I think your just trying to rub it in. I mean my mother-in-law never invites us over for anything. For Easter she brought butter beans, ham, cole slaw, 6 deviled eggs, rolls, 2 colored eggs, 6 chocolate eggs and 8 onions. Yes I said onions, the ones with the green stalks growing out of them. Aren't those green onions? Well anyway, all that she brought for one person. My husband, all his favorite foods. What did me, my daughter (her only grandchild), my SIL, or my grandbaby (her only great-grandbaby) get? Nada, zilch, nothing!!

Well anyway sorry for rambling. I loved the pictures by the way. Just so jealous of your in-laws. lol

Awesome basket you got!

I didn't even get a basket. But I went out yesterday and loaded up on half off candy.

I'll be watching Twilight with my best friend when I see her next week. I'm going to try not to laugh at the effects. I really enjoyed the series but a lot of people have been telling me that the effects are cheesy and that before I watch it I have to remind myself that the movie was LOW BUDGET. So I'm just going to repeat, "Low budget, low budget.." as I watch.

Hey sometimes life REALLY is rainbows and butterflies...and you'd be faux blogging if you didn't post those days too! And dang...can I borrow your mother in law next Easter...sheesh nice basket of goodies!

Lana@The Kids Did WHAT?! said...

Funny how she hugs and kisses the bunnies then knocks them down and laughs... that's exactly what I do to my boyfriend. Okay, not really, but it sure is tempting sometimes.

Bubblegum and rainbows or "real life crap" - either way, we still ♥ you!
