Mmmmmmmmmm...buffalo burgers...awwwrrrrggghhhh!
When my dad told me we were having buffalo burgers for dinner I didn't realize he meant REAL BUFFALO! I thought they were just called buffalo burgers, you know like Pizza Hut has buffalo wings?
No Jessica, they are not made from real buffalo.
But our buffalo burgers were.
My dad's friend from Jackson actually shot this buffalo himself and fed it to us for dinner! Wow, putting it like that sounds a little barbaric right? It's not like he cut the meat off the buffalo carcass right there and threw it on the grill people. The meat was all in burger patties. No carcass in sight.
Okay so now that I've officially grossed everyone out talking about buffalo remains, I will now tell you how good they were.
They were delicious! So much so that Lindee ate ten.

He also got Logan the cutest little cowboy set for his birthday complete with the hat, gun, belt, bandanna & lasso! It was so dang cute.
The gun was Logan's favorite.
And Dad, I'm sure he'll warm up to the belt too!

They actually have that ground and packaged in some of the stores in our area. Haven't gotten the nerve up to try it yet.

Bison is yummy. We bought a 1/4 bison from the butcher when we first moved here. All cut up of course. Tastes just like beef to me but with less fat and better for you.

I am not big on red meat but I have had buffalo burgers (Ted Turner's restaurant here in ATL) and they are quite good.
Buffalo makes a great burger, Ostrich and venison is good in stews.
Yum! I'll take buffalo any time I can get it. They used to sell it at Fred Meyers and I've found it at Costco before. It's very yummy and better for you than beef because it's lower fat.

Buffalo burgers are the BEST----I also like ostrich. Have you tried those? I like the ostrich steaks better than the burgers though.

Buffalo? Really? Well, I've tried alligator (yes, it tastes like chicken) and I've had deer meat (never thought I'd eat Bambi)... so I'd give it a shot, but yeah, I'd have to get the image out of my mind. Lol.
Hmmm. Buffalo is supposed to be fantasicly better for you than beef. Good choice there.
But on the guns?? Don't you know that once they get guns they make up anything else and everything else into a gun!!!! Twigs turn into guns, fingers turn into guns. You may have released a monster.

Bison burgers are the best. We love making them. I think moving to Montana is turning me into a rugged mountain woman. But I just bought my meat from the store, I didn't slaughter it myself.
I have a love/hate relationship with digital memory because of the way prices are always dropping. I hate buying Micro SD Cards for my R4 / R4i at (what seems to be) a crazy bargain price only to see it become a whole lot cheaper a couple of months later.
